Welcome to my hood: Hochelaga, Montreal

In 2019 I worked on a cultural mediation project with non-profit organization Societé Saint-Vincent de Paul and the Ecomusée du Fier Monde in Montreal. Working with a group of 6th graders from Saint-Jean Baptiste Meilleur school in Hochelaga neighbourhood, the project aimed to use the arts to motivate these students with learning difficulties. After visiting the museum and learning about the history of their neighbourhood, they visually explored their community with cameras, then worked with an art therapist to add their unique touch to their prints. The resulting images were exhibited at the Ecomusée du Fier Monde in Montreal.
