Ecuador: La Chorerra in the aftermath of the earthquake
In April 2016, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked costal Ecuador. One year later, the residents of the small fishing village of La Chorrera, the epicentre, were still sleeping in tents and temporary houses, impatiently waiting for their government to rebuild their village and provide them more secure housing and proper infrastructure. I accompanied a humanitarian aid mission led by Tous Les Enfants de L'Autre Monde (TEAM) in 2017, who provided clothes, school supplies and food for the most needy families.
