Tibetan Buddhism in exile

Since the occupation of Tibet, many Tibetans fled to neighbouring India & Nepal where they have rebuilt their lives and have the freedom to practice their religion & traditions. Although the Dalai Lama is based in Dharamsala in north India, the Tibetan community also has several settlements in south India, Ladakh and Nepal.
